All the Mavericks in the House, Put Your Hands Up.

THERE IS NO journalism connection here. But I'm curious what you think of this.

It was funny but the whole thing is getting kind of old. I mean, at least I think it's getting tired. People seem to like those Thursday night, post-Office SNL... what are they calling them? Um, anyway, they're hardly memorable and usually leave me hiding underneath a pillow. Is this election that much of a farce that we need to lampoon it weekly... I dunno. Maybe it is. I'm just not laughing.

Personally, I thought it was hilarious. From my perspective, it just makes sarah palin appear extrememly desperate for votes. She's trying to seem approachable, funny, and appeal to everyone's sense of humor. Although I don't think its effective in that sense, it definitely did make me laugh (with amy poehler, mind you, and at sarah palin).

I thought this was pretty funny. The eskimos might have been a little much...It puts it into perspective that half of her speeches and interviews are probably memorized, although not memorized enough or she wouldn't make so many slip-ups. Therefore, anyone who gave her same old speech would probably do just as well.

I thought it was funny. It's kind of become normal for politicians in the running for an important office to make an appearance on SNL....especially after they've been made of on it countless of times. Tina Fey does Sarah Palin better than she does herself. It was only a matter of time until she appeared on the show. It still doesn't change my vote though.

I thought it was the funniest thing I saw all weekend. It shocks me that Sarah Palin is desperate enough to let herself be the subject to parody, but at least it's an awesome parody by Amy. I think all the Sarah Palin jokes are hilarious and will always be hilarious. Come on...eskimos, vice presidents...it makes the situation that much better and lighter in the face of the election.

i agree with the above comment. this is really funny, and i cant help becoming hysterical when someone makes fun of sarah palin.

Sarah Palin has been taking a lot of slack in this election, but in watching these kinds of things you must keep in mind it is just entertainment. I think it is humorous but it doesn't influence my political position.

That was hilarious. They immitate her so much that I didn't even realize that it was really her.

I kept flipping back and forth between Tina Fey and Palin, and it was....surreal. But not the point. I say mad props for showing up on a show where the extreme majority of cast and viewers disagrees with her fundamentally on almost everything.
If she can laugh at herself and how ridiculous some of the stuff these people do is, I guess at least there's some sort of a brain left.

I agree with Bethany and a lot of the other comments people left. I thought this was absolutely hilarious and for me the Sarah Palin bit is not getting old quite yet. The fact that she tried to take it head-on and attempted to show viewers she's ok with and that she has a funny side seems a little desperate. Ever since Palin has joined the campaign John McCain has been struggling in the polls. I think there was something more productive she could have been doing with her time. Ever other public figure that has been teased on SNL during this whole election hasn't felt the need to go on and laugh too. There are so much more important things in the campaign right now. Why waste your energy on this?

I think the only thing that is getting old is people taking comedy seriously! Analyzing this skit is "a waste of energy" not watching it. It was funny! With the economy shot, people need something to laugh at. Thank God for SNL, they're a temporary relief from everything that's going on in the world. I loved it!

I think it was a brilliant move on Palin's part. She's treating the campaign like it's a beauty pageant, and this was the talent competition. I am not a McCain/Palin supporter, but I believe she'll have gained more fans with this self-deprecating gee-golly-gosh performance of mediocrity.

Hey, it's Vicky.
I must say this: I LOL'd.
XD;
Even though it's shameless plugging, it's still a parody, and meant to be taken as such, and it shows that Palin, who has been parodied many times, has a sense of humor, and even showed up on one of the programs that parody her.
I also think that SNL had some serious chutzpah to do all that right in front of her. XD She might be the VP one day, so... Nah, she won't mess with them. XD
I don't even think she can, even if she wanted to.

i thought this was absolutely hilarious. Like someone stated above, i think this shows sarah palin is desperate for votes.

I think this is funny, but I don't think it's really going to help Palin, or McCain for that matter. She did not really participate in the sketch, she just danced. Whoopdy friggin do. There have been much more off the collar acts by politicians. (John Ashcroft singing, Howard Dean, no need for explanation) It was a pointless stunt I think.

Pretty damn funny if you ask me. ^_^ oh and desperate..

It was funny, but I'm over SNL and the Palin situation. It was funny the first few times, but it's getting the point of beating a dead horse.

I thought this was hilarious. I actually sent the link to my friends a while ago and they all loved it too. I think that, like any other comedy, you can't take it too seriously and you can't watch it too much. I agree that Sarah Palin is mocked and talked about too much, but things like this, where she actually participates, is a different story.

sure, it's kind of desperate on her part, but don't forget, palin's not just a politician, she's also a person. she might not be qualified, but all she can do at this point is try to appear approachable and "ok" with everything that went on on SNL. wouldn't you? there're only a few more days left before this rat race is over.
