Would You Read A Daily Sports-Only Newspaper?

THIS IS LONG BUT watch the beginning, at least. Do you think there is a market for a daily newspaper that covers only sports?

There's barely a market for regular daily newspapers...

Seriously though, niche journalism is the future. I write for pa2010.com, a political news site with a very, very narrow audience- but those are the ones that keep coming back. I wouldn't rule anything out, but they might have better luck with online stuff?

I would love to read a daily newspaper about sports. In fact, that is exactly what I would like to do. Sports is a big part of our society and will always have a big impact on our daily lives. It can even be seen as an escape from other things going on that have a negative impact.

I'm not that crazy about sports however, if this newspaper features the players biography then I can see how successful it can be.

I wouldn't read a newspaper that was only about sports but a lot of other people might. But in the age of technology, people would probably look at sports news on television or on the internet.Currently, newspapers are not doing well It doesn't seem likely that a sports newspaper would do well.

Wait, what's the Daily News then? Ha I feel like Sports gets enough coverage in the papers and can be supplemented by online resources. ESPN has done a good job of worming it's way into sports fans lives. I have multiple friends who get updates constantly on their phones. They pay for that service tho. If there was a way to make the teams pay for the paper, since it would be excellent advertising for them and their respective leagues then it could work. I know there are bigger sports fans out there than me that would want to see this as a reality.

I think a daily newspaper that covers only sports would be a huge hit. There are some people out there that only read the sports sections of newspapers to begin with. I definitely agree with Don when he says the future is niche journalism.

i love the idea, but would it work?..im very skeptical just because even I use ESPN.com to just go on daily and check anything I want about anyone I want. It would be tough for "The National" lol to compete with that.
