This isn't the first time I've seen this. I've seen this at least twice live while watching television. The most recent was when I was watching a pre-game show for the NFL Playoffs this year and former player/analyst Dan Marino's phone rang nearly 4 times while on the set. He then proceeded to send a text message or email. Everyone on set acknowledge his ringing phone and casually joked about it.
I think it's a disgrace to the station to do this.
Wow that was really funny she's a brave individual putting her job in jeopardy like that. I know alot of screwed up people that unproffesional probably would come off as a compliment to them. However, they still would not have done that. Im willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. You never know
If you intend to go into journalism as a career, you should be writing, taking pictures, laying out pages, making decisions and informing our community now. Really.
Contact an editor at the Temple News and begin working for them ASAP. Get clips. Get experience. Get paid.
Former CBS3 anchor Larry Mendte visited our class in 2008 and then put us on the news. He polled the class on the day of the Pennsylvania Primary Election. You can see the video by clicking here.

That's pretty much all I have to say about that.
i can't believe she took the call!
Wow, I'm not even allowed to answer my phone in the salon I work at and she has it with her on set. Extremely unprofessional.
Extremely uncalled for. What's even worse is that she bent over as if we didn't know she was talking on the phone.
Maybe she had a pizza delivery? It would be rude to leave the deliverer standing outside the studio with a pending ice storm.
Wow she picked up her phone. Maybe it was big story and she had a call about it... probably not...
That was, unprofessional, at best.
This only gives people MORE reason to think broadcasters aren't really journalists.. it was completely unprofessional.

Unprofessional, yes. But also funny. Maybe the journalism field needs a little less professionalism to get people interested in the news again.
