You'll Never Ever, Ever Be Able to Report the Facts Without Knowing Them, Seeking Them and Investigating Them.

CHRISTIANE AMANPOUR of CNN recently spoke at Columbia University about the state of journalism after winning an Alfred I. duPont award, among the most prestigous awards in broadcast journalism.

She is rather critical of the journalism currently being produced. Listen to her. Do you agree?

I don't believe Ms. Amanpour is being too critical of the journalists. I think she is making a profound statement of what journalism over the the modern years has become. Yes, there are profound journalists who know how to dig deep into the story; but there also other journalistic writings of more Entertainment and prominent figures. This in return is almost overshadowing the "good journalism".
